This coffee comes as a whole bean which leaves the grinding and brewing up to you. There is nothing comparable to fresh ground beans, true aficionados know this. Once ground the coffee brews up nice and yields the same fresh and dank aroma as the beans. Without adds the coffee is powerful and bitter at its core and yields excellent flavor after my usual adds have been introduced (+1 sugar, +cream). An excellent choice for a fresh cup of Joe. "SMOOTH AND MEDIUM BODIED WITH PLEASING SWEETNESS
I enjoy a good cup of coffee pretty much anytime throughout the day so when this arrived I headed to my kitchen and ground enough for an afternoon pick me up. The package is attractive and designed to keep the beans fresh in an air sealed foilk pouch. The roasted Arabica beans smell as good as they look, very consistent in size and color. The flavor is smooth and medium body, a little mild for my morning taste but delightful for an afternoon cup with no acid aftertaste. The marketing indicates this coffee will 'rev you up', is a productivity booster, memory and recall booster, mood booster, and even contains vitamins and antioxidants which I think actually sums up the benefits of most coffee. This is okay, as I was concerned with a name like RPM it would be bitter until I jitter. Not the case. It has a pleasing sweetness, not bitter, and no added caffeine. In reading the package I discovered the origin of the RPM name being related to the owner's history as a stock car racing champion with a passion for roasting quality coffee. If seeking to be 'revved up' this falls short. If desiring a clean, flavorful cup of coffee, this blend easily earns a place on the podium.
